Short Term Reservations
Reservations for 2 nights or longer are accepted on most properties. The tenant-of-record on any booking must be at least 21 years of age. There are no arrivals or departures on a Saturday between January 8 and March 13, 2011. Any stay including New Years Eve has a 4 night minimum stay at holiday rates on all 4 nights, unless circumstances permit an agent to offer an exception. Reservations over New Years must be booked with an agent by calling 800-639-4680. No online bookings for this timeframe will be confirmed before an agent reviews the reservation and books the guest directly.
Payments may be made by credit card, money order, bank check, and electronic transfer only. Call a reservationist at 1.800.642.1147 if you wish to use electronic transfer. No Personal Checks will be accepted on any reservation.
Any and all credit cards used for the reservation must be presented upon check in for imprint and signatures.
For stays booked more than 30 days prior to arrival: 50% of the base rent, and the booking fee is due within five days of making the reservation. The balance of rent, tax, service fee, and any other add on items are due 30 days before the date of arrival. Final payment is automatically charged on the same credit card used for the initial deposit on the due date unless other arrangements are made. *Any reservation including nights of 12/28 - 1/1 will fall under the New Years policies.
Vacation stays booked within 30 days of arrival will require payment in full upon booking.
For New Years holiday reservations, an initial deposit of 60% of the base rent will be due 5 days of booking. The final payment is due by November 1.
New Years reservations booked after November 1 are due in full at the time of booking.
Damage deposit requirements are more stringent for New Years and other holiday timeframes and also vary for different properties. Ask your Vacation Specialist or refer to your confimation for details after booking.
Cancellation policies for New Years and other holiday timeframes provide for no refunds unless the timeframe is rebooked in full or in part. If rebooked, deposits exceeding a holiday $615 cancellation fee will be refunded.
In most cases, you will be not be required to provide either a cash damage deposit or a credit card authorization. Wise will protect you and your party from risk of charges related to accidental damage to the rental home during your stay, as long as the damage is not willful, wanton or a result of gross negligent behavior (excludes damage by a pet). This damage waiver does NOT cover intentional damage, theft, excessive cleaning, or any damage or flea infestation caused by pet.
If an accident happens, report the details to the front desk during your stay, or at checkout. You must notify our office of damages or losses during your occupancy or the protection plan will be void and you will be responsible for any damages.
Wise Vacations will collect a cash damage deposit in advance on some properties, in accordance with the owner requirements.
Changes to any confirmed (deposit has been received) reservation booked directly with Wise, excluding reservations booked through the Killington Travel Service, will fall under the Cancellation Program. Changing dates, property or length (if the number of nights is being reduced) of stay is considered a cancellation and would fall under the Cancellation Program. Changes are subject to availability. Rates would be adjusted for the new dates and/or property.
We allow our guests to cancel non-holiday stays up until noon the day before arrival with a full refund less the booking fee and your property's cancellation fee noted in your confirmation. There is no refund for unused time that is a result of late arrivals, early departures or no shows. Check in time is 5pm or later during the winter season (Nov. 1 - April 30) and 4pm or later during the summer months (May 1 - Oct 31). Request for early arrivals are accepted when possible but never guaranteed. Late Check-in: Guests check in at Wise Vacations' office on the Killington Access Road before proceeding to the rental property. If you are checking in after the office has closed we will leave your Check In Packet in the locked box on the porch outside our office. Please use the phone to dial the 24 hour answering service (the number is posted by the phone). Provide the service with the last name on the reservation and they will give you the combination of the locked box. The Check In Packet includes keys, a map, and guest registration for your signature. If a friend arrives before you, they may pick up the keys by following the same directions. Please have them sign the registration. Please keep in mind that whoever checks in first (be it in the office or after hours) receives the keys and directions, therefore if there are more guests in the party arriving separately at a later time, they should proceed directly to the rental property following the directions provided in your confirmation email when you booked.
Check out time is 11am or earlier. If time permits late checkouts may be possible for an extra fee. Unauthorized use of a unit after 11am will result in a charge of $75 per hour. Guests who are eligible and have received a complimentary DVD rental card should be sure to return it with your keys to avoid charges after your departure.
Two keys are given out for each rental property. Upon departure, we ask that you return both keys to our office. For your convenience we have a Key Drop box outside on the porch. Some of our properties do permit pets with a $250 non-refundable Pet Fee. If a property accepts pets, it will be noted in the Property "Overview" section of the property page.
Question: What day of the week can we arrive?
Answer: With the exception of Saturdays during
the winter full season, you may arrive or depart on
any day of the week.
What is the most cost effective way to book my lodging?
Answer: You can save money in the winter by
staying during the midweek (Sunday Thursday nights);
staying during early and late winter (Nov to Mid-Dec
and Mid-March to April); buying a
lodging package or activity package. The highest
rates fall on the weekends and Christmas/New Years
Can we bring the family pet?
Answer: Only if you have rented a property
that permits pets- some of the units at The Resort
allow pets. You will need to have advance permission
and remit a non-refundable pet fee of $250.
Do you have daily maid service?
Answer: We do not provide daily maid service,
however, we do employ housekeepers to set up the unit
for your arrival and clean after your departure. You
can arrange for daily housekeeping at an extra charge
(approximately $30 per hour). We also stock supplies
like paper towels, trash bags, toilet paper, bar soap,
etc., but you will need to bring your own laundry
soap. Dishware and cookware are also provided.
